2009 HOLLYWOOD BOOK FESTIVAL NAMES WINNERS


HOLLYWOOD (July 6, 2009) _ The Hollywood Book Festival has named John Lacombe's “Winter Games” as the grand prize winner of the 2009 competition honoring books worthy of further attention from the film and TV industries.

Lacombe’s page-turning thriller mixes international intrigue with an unlikely hero – the 24-year-old owner of a New Hampshire comic book store. His journey into the heart of North Korea to rescue his brother captivated the judges for the festival and is full of great roles for actors who are looking for an action-adventure vehicle beyond the conventional.

The author will receive his grand prize at an invitation-only awards ceremony to be held July 9 in Hollywood.
