PARIS BOOK FESTIVAL SALUTES “THE COST OF COURAGE” FOR TOP HONORS

PARIS_ The story of one family’s contributions in the French Resistance is the winner of the 2015 Paris Book Festival.

Charles Kaiser’s “The Cost of Courage” (Other Press) is the story of the Boulloche family, their confederates and their descendants, as well as documents from the French and British National Archives.

A fluid French speaker, reporter Kaiser delves deeply into the personal accounts of this family history as set against the background of war. The British dossiers on three of the main characters were declassified for the first time at Kaiser's request.

This unique perspective and Kaiser’s vivid writing won him top honors from the competition. He will be honored at a private reception on June 3 in Paris.
